Life is pretty good. The flowers are gearing down, as usual for forty
degree weather. I am delivering today, and will probably have about three
weeks left. It is very busy now, as September is the busiest floral month
there is in terms of an overlap with my growing season. Cockscomb and
sunflowers are VERY popular right now, and I will have an overstuffed
minivan full of it this morning. Baby lettuces and spinach will be
marketable in about two weeks, and I have a buyer for that in Btown until
the deep freeze ends that (they are good down to about the high teens).
I have put a band together in Btown, and we get together for the first
time this evening. I am fired about it. I have been playing every day
since January on the acoustic, and, starting in late June or so, I have
been putting in 2-3 hours per day on the electric. I have never played
this well.

I just did three interviews last week. All summer, after applying with
nearly thirty schools, I had only one interview. Long story, but social
studies is not the happening field for landing a job. Another long story
put me into the Special Ed market, and that is where the three interviews
were. I had two offers from the three, and just yesterday accepted a job
at Owen Valley (Spencer, fifteen minutes from home!). I start Tuesday. My
classroom will consist of EH (emotionally handicapped) middle school and
high school students who have been expelled from the public schools in
Spencer and Ellettesville for behavioral problems. It should be
interesting. Surprisingly, there was competition for the job.

I doubt that. How are the babies? How is Deb? Is she teaching? Are you
still at Shaffstall's? If so, how is that going? The last time we talked,
you were considering a move away from there. What's up with that? Sorry I
have been lax in hooking up, and thanks for knocking. I hope to hook up
one of these days, although it would appear that a fall thing is not in the
works, campaign-wise. Have you been able to connect with Jack?
